Jacqueline Marshall
Jackie completed her undergraduate degree in the fields of Molecular Biology and English Literature, and her Master of Science in Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the University of Sydney. She is now a basic science researcher, conducting her PhD candidature with the Centre for Inflammation at the University of Technology Sydney and Centenary Institute since 2019. Jackie is currently the final year of her PhD in the field of mucosal and respiratory immunology. Her PhD project focuses on understanding the role of tuft cells, a type of specialised epithelial cell in the lung and digestive tract. Her project aims to elucidate the function of tuft cells in inflammatory diseases, such as influenza and asthma in the lung and inflammatory bowel disease in the gut using experimental models.
